Martsamrit Pasupa is a Thai sound artist, media practitioner, researcher, and lecturer based in Bangkok, Thailand. His artistic practice explores memory, culture, and everyday narratives through sound, moving image, and cross-cultural storytelling. Working across sound art, media installation, music composition, and audiovisual experimentation, his works often reflect urban atmosphere, food culture, and human experience through sonic expression.
He is currently a Lecturer in the Media Arts Program at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). He holds a PhD in Design Arts from Silpakorn University, Thailand, a Master’s degree in Sonic Art from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from KMUTT, Thailand.
Pasupa has participated in international exhibitions, symposiums, and collaborative projects in Thailand, South Korea, China, Macao, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. His recent works include Resonance of Beijing: The Breathing City, Fried, Flavored, and Fused, Ordinary Night, and Symphony of Thai Cooking, which explore sound as a medium for storytelling, memory, and cultural reflection.
In addition to his artistic and academic practice, he has an extensive background in music and sound production as a member of the Thai band SO-ME-DAY and former member of Lomosonic. His interests include soundscape studies, electroacoustic art, experimental media, and cross-cultural collaboration through contemporary media practices.
